NIC Theatre to hold open auditions

The North Idaho College Theatre department is holding auditions for its production of “Prejudice and Pride” from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, and Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center on NIC’s Coeur d’Alene campus.
Auditions are open to NIC students, employees and the community. Participants only need attend one night of auditions and are asked to bring a headshot and a resume.
There are no scheduled auditions and no callbacks.
For the audition, bring a short singing selection, preferably from a modern musical. A piano accompanist will be available, or music can be played from a speaker. Bring a short monologue of any style or select readings will be provided.
“Prejudice and Pride” is a production created by an NIC student based on the novel “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen. NIC Theatre will workshop the production and take it to festival competition.
Production dates are scheduled for Oct. 26-29.
