COEUR d'ALENE — Tudy Gilbert put her heart into her dance at Orchard Ridge Senior Living.
Because she did.
"It was me and my heart, dancing," Gilbert said of her solo performance to "Sugarfoot Rag."
About 15 members of the Lake City Tappers sang and danced for about 30 minutes before about 25 residents of the faith-based, nonprofit community.
It was the 186th show for the group, which marks its 19th anniversary next month.
Interspersed with four group routines, there were memorable solos by Gilbert and Stephani Koennel. Mary Ann Taibi delivered three songs, including "Moonlight Serenade."
"We're energized doing it," Koennel said.
The Lake City Tappers dance for charity and raise awareness for women's and children's charities. They also donate to the Lake City Center's Meals on Wheels program.
