PREP WRESTLING: Post Falls claims duals title at Sidney Invitational

SIDNEY, Mont. — Rider Seguine (126 pounds), Brandon Felix (132), Tyson Barnhart (145) and Seth Martin (182) notched pins for Post Falls, which beat Mead of Longmont, Colo., 42-16 to capture the duals tournament title at the Sidney Invitational on Friday.
Post Falls also defeated the Williston JV 72-3, Lake Stevens (Wash.) 46-21 and Williston 42-21 in the semifinals to advance.

to semis in Polson
POLSON, Mont. — Lake City coach Corey Owen knew that Nathan Booth had put in the work during the offseason.
Little did they know, he’d be tested right away.
Booth, a junior, beat Branch Martin of Frenchtown — the top seed at 160 pounds — by an 11-6 decision.
“Nathan looked really good today,” Lake City coach Corey Owen said. “We thought it was trending this way, but he got thrown into the fire a little bit. We just thought, ‘well, we’ll find out really soon,’ and he was just fantastic.”
Garrett Leonard (205), Sebastian Mosman (205) and Cliff Eddington (285) went unbeaten on the first day to advance to the semifinals of the Owen Invitational later today at Polson High.
Lake City is sixth out of 18 teams with 79.5 points.
“Both Garrett and Sebastian wrestled really well,” Owen said. “Cliff worked really hard over the summer and it really paid off for him today.”
Ronan leads the tournament with 122.
