SANDPOINT — Joseph Babin (152B), Charlie Becker (170C), and Jeremiah Palmer (195B) took home first place finishes for Sandpoint, who finished sixth, at the largest ever JV Blizzard Invite held Saturday at Sandpoint Middle School.

Sandpoint’s Caiden Addington (132A), Colter Cates (145A), and Matthew Clifton (170D) placed second in their individual brackets. Kaiden Rose (120B), Lincoln Balch (145B), and Alan Butcher (152A) notched third place finishes.

Priest River’s Elijah Blaine (152B) and Logan Troumbley (195B) also took home third place finishes.

Head coach Josh Ratigan said the tournament consisted of 247 wrestlers and had 447 bouts.

“Overall, it was a very successful tournament for us,” Ratigan said.

Sandpoint heads to the George Wild Invite at Kellogg on Friday. Priest River will dual St. Maries, Kellogg on Tuesday.
