RITZVILLE — An apparent burglary was foiled between Ritzville and Moses Lake on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 11:30 a.m., the ACSO received a report of an unknown subject trespassing on a property in the 1100 block of North Rand Lane, about 22 miles west of Ritzville, according to the statement. Deputies arrived about a minute later, set up containment and searched the area. Tianna Gene Marie Trumble, 19, of Ephrata was found hiding in a vehicle on the property, and evidence at the scene indicated she was in the process of taking items from the location and setting them aside to be hauled off.
K-9 Nado conducted a final search and found no additional suspects on the property, according to the statement. Trumble was arrested and booked on suspicion of residential burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree vehicle prowl.
The location has been frequented by unwanted subjects over the past few weeks, the ACSO wrote. Deputies have been working with the landowner to protect the property from subjects who do not belong there.
