Joseph “Joe” Arnold Kultgen, 93, of Ronan, passed away peacefully at his home with family by his side Dec. 1, 2023.

Joe was born March 1, 1930, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada to Nicolas Emil and Grace Kultgen. Joe married his first wife, Betty, and they had a son and three daughters before the couple divorced. Then Joe married his second wife, Barbara, and had a son, two daughters, and two stepsons. Together, they then raised three grandkids.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sisters, nephews, cousins, a daughter, a son, stepson, and other special friends.

Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughter Judy Calvi of Mississippi (two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren); daughter Debbie; son Mike (Brandy and two grandsons); daughter Diane (Kyle and two grandchildren) of Ronan; stepson Bryan of Omsberg, N.M. (Michelle, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren); granddaughter Nikki Brosten (Chad and three great-grandchildren); Shae Zanca (Jess) of Missoula; grandson Savior Zanca (and two grandchildren); brother Urban Kultgen (Karen and family) of Whitlash, Mont.; brother Russell Kultgen (Bev and family) of Lethbridge, Canada; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Joe’s greatest accomplishments in life were loving his wife, kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great, great-grandkids.
