Vikings take 8th at Bob Kinney Classic, Vals 29th at Flathead

Two second places, a third and two fourths helped the Vikings earn an eighth-place finish at the Bob Kinney Classic in Superior over the weekend.
Evan Tidwell went 2-1 to take second in the 182-pound division while Lyrick Fainter defeated Matthew Thurston of Plains/Hot Springs before falling in the championship match of the 113-pound division.
Diego Rodriguez went 1-1, including pinning Shane Spencer of Corvallis in 2:28 to take third in the 103-pound division.
Wyatt Elwell won three of his matches to take fourth in the 170-pound division and Damien Kato went 2-2 to earn fourth in the 182-division.
The Valkyries won two matches on their way to a 29th-place finish out of 49 teams at the Flathead Invitational.
Lex Johnson pinned Eureka’s RyAnn Lewis in 2:28 while Angela Farrier pinned Browning’s Symari Momberg in 42 seconds.
