Marilyn “Peggy” (Waits) Folda was born May 7, 1940, in Lewistown, Mont. Peggy married the love of her life, Warren Folda, in 1958 and was blessed with two daughters and a son.

As a family, they moved around Montana before settling in Rathdrum, Idaho, where Peggy kept active with softball, gardening and raising a spoiled bobcat named Dumpling and a spoiled dog or two. In 2006, they moved back to Fairfield, Mont., and called that home before Warren’s passing in 2015. It was then she moved back to Lewistown, to enjoy being closer to family. Peggy passed Dec. 10, 2023.

Peggy was part of a large family that had only grown in size over the years; many grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends. All can share special stories of the fun and silly antics that were hanging around her.

Peggy is survived by her three children, Deborah, Brook and Clay; two sisters and a brother. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Warren; her parents; sisters Doris, Betty and Patricia; brothers Ervin and Billy; and a grandson.

In mom’s words, when dad passed, “It was a Hell of a ride, Hoss, just wait by the gate.” Dad, you may close the gate now, mom is home with you once again.

Ride in peace.

At Peggy’s request, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held later.

Arrangements are under the care of Creel Funeral Home. Peggy’s family and friends can share memories and condolences at www.creelfuneralhome.com
