PREP BASKETBALL: Clark Fork boys notch 54-point win over ICA

I grew up in the small town of Orwigsburg, Pa., where I resided all of my life before moving to Sandpoint. I attended Blue Mountain High School, where I participated in cross country and track and field, a sport that I ended up falling in love with. I went on to attend and run for DeSales University (with other brief stints at Susquehanna University and Elizabethtown College) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sport communication with a minor in sport management. I remember just how great it made me feel when I was mentioned in my hometown newspaper. I want to be able to give that feeling to every athlete in Bonner County, no matter how big or small their accomplishments are. As an athlete myself, I know how many hours of work are put in on a daily basis, and that hard work deserves to be recognized. It is my goal to cover as much of the Bulldogs, Spartans and Wampus Cats as I can. I want to work with every athlete, parent, coach, administrator and the community to ensure the best stories are published. | December 18, 2023 8:40 PM
POST FALLS — After coming off a 49-point win over Mullan, Clark Fork boys basketball continues to dominate, notching a 77-23 win over Immaculate Conception Academy on Monday.
“We just focused on defense tonight,” head coach Heath Beason said. “We came off the Mullan game really strong and wanted to keep things going. We played four quarters, and we dominated in all four quarters. Again, we did very well on defense and I’m very proud of them … the offense just came with it.”
Five Clark Fork players — Ethan Howard (20), Cole Sanroman (14), Evrett Montgomery (11), Owen Howard (10), and Seth Caven (10) — all reached double-digits in scoring Monday. Seth Caven recorded his first double-double of the season by adding 11 rebounds. Montgomery had a season-high seven assists and four steals for the Wampus Cats.
Clark Fork (4-1, 1-0) will look to keep things rolling at home Thursday against Coeur du Christ Academy.
