Elysha Joe Brown, 44, of Spokane, Wash., unexpectedly left us Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023. He was born May 2, 1979, in Sandpoint, Idaho, the youngest of three children.

He grew up in the Pacific Northwest, attended Priest River Lamana High, and raised his family in the Spokane area. Elysha enjoyed working with his hands. He worked as a printing machine operator, in property management and was a very talented home renovator.

Elysha loved outdoor activities, including fishing and birdwatching.

His smile was infectious and his laughter contagious. He was an incredible cook and loved feeding large groups of friends and family.

One of Elysha's favorite places was the Oregon Coast. He enjoyed spending time there with his family, exploring the beaches and sampling the local fare. He was a patient teacher, eager to share his knowledge and experience with others.

Elysha was a loving son, brother and husband, a devoted father and a faithful friend. His three children were the passion of his life and he was a very proud and involved Dad. He had recently welcomed his first grandson and was so excited to be a grandfather.

Family was of ultimate importance to him. He would do anything to care for his family and help his friends. He rarely missed a reunion with his extended family.

Those left behind include wife Laura Brown, son Jagstun Wilson, daughter Daisy Brown and grandson Ryker, son Anthony Brown, mother Tamera Brown, sister Narcissa Yelland, sister Jessica Brown, grandmother Janice Hewitt, the Danskey family and many other extended family and friends.

He left us all too soon, but as he rests in the arms of Jesus, we hold on to the hope of being reunited with Elysha again in Heaven.

"We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God Himself …" Hebrews 6:19 TPT
