A group of Coeur d’Alene hockey players put on an annual 3-on-3 tournament on Saturday for the last eight years in memory of Josh “Bearchief” Barron who played hockey in Coeur d’Alene and while serving as a Marine died in an osprey crash in Hawaii in 2015. Each year, organizers donate the money to Washington State Fallen Heroes Project, in memory of Josh. This year the group raised $6,000. Pictured are tournament organizer Lindsay Gorrill and John Barron, Josh’s father, with the tournament trophy. Below is the tournament’s participants.
