Music conservatory offering classes for youth, adults

The Music Conservatory of Coeur d'Alene will offer music classes for youths and adults during its winter session, which goes from Jan. 8 to March 15.
Prices vary. Those who register soon will receive 10 weeks of classes for $200.
Classes offered:
• Intro to guitar: Ages 8 to adult; 4:30 p.m. Mondays.
• Beginning class piano: Ages 10-18; 5:30/6:30 p.m. Mondays.
• Conducting: Ages 16 to adult; 4 p.m. Wednesdays.
• Adult choir: For adults; 6 p.m. Wednesdays.
• Handbell choir: Ages 12 to adult; 3:15 p.m. Mondays or Wednesdays.
• Jazz 1 and 2: Ages 12 to adult; 5/6 p.m. Thursdays.
• Music theory: Ages 12 to adult; 7 p.m. Thursdays.
Youth choir auditions continue. Weekly rehearsals begin Jan. 10. The choir is designed for students ages 10-18. The choir is expected to help participants grow in vocal ability, musicianship and ensemble performance skills.
