Idaho football letter of intent event set for Thursday at The Coeur d'Alene Resort
COEUR d'ALENE — Idaho football coach Jason Eck and athletic director Terry Gawlik will be special guests at a Vandal football letter of intent signing event set for Thursday at 5 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort.
Cost is $20 per person, and includes a no-host bar and appetizers.

WSU's Leger-Walker named top-10 finalist for Ann Meyers Drysdale Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Washington State women's basketball player Charlisse Leger-Walker has been named a midseason top-10 finalist for the 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
It is the second time in two seasons that Leger-Walker has been named a midseason finalist for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, an honor that goes to the nation's top shooting guard. The Waikato, New Zealand native is averaging 19.2 points and 4.9 assists per game. Leger-Walker is one of two Power 5 conference players to rank inside the top two in their conference in both points and assists, joining Iowa star, Caitlin Clark.
Fans can vote beginning Friday at hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process.
Keishana Washington (Drexel), Diamond Miller (Maryland), Antwainette Walker (Eastern Kentucky), Taylor Mikesell (Ohio State), Ta'Niya Latson (Florida State), Zia Cooke (South Carolina), Gabby Gregory (Kansas State), Charisma Osborne (UCLA), and Hailey Van Lith (Louisville) join Leger-Walker as midseason finalists for the award.
In March, five finalists will be presented to Meyers Drysdale and the Hall of Fame's selection committee. The Selection Committee for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award is composed of top women's college basketball personnel including media members, head coaches, sports information directors and Hall of Famers.
EWU's Allegri earns Big Sky Player of the Week Award
Eastern Washington men's basketball player Angelo Allegri earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors as announced by the conference Tuesday.
Allegri helped Eastern Washington beat Weber State and Idaho State at home this past week, averaging 22.5 points per game and 6.0 rebounds. The senior was 8 of 12 from 3-point range. Eastern has now won 12 consecutive games and 14 at Reese Court, both are Division I program records.
Eastern Washington plays at Sacramento State on Thursday and Portland State on Saturday.
