A new place to stay and play is going up at Prairie Falls Golf Club, 3200 N. Spokane St., Post Falls.

The 43,000-square-foot facility is under construction with a Post Falls Chamber groundbreaking ceremony set for 9:30 a.m. Feb. 16.

“We are so excited," Prairie Falls general manager Melissa Schock said Friday. "We’re going to be on Spokane Street and Prairie. We feel like this is going to be a new community hub."

The facility will include 17 hotel suites, a 5,200-square-foot event center, a full-service Iron, Wood and Ice Urban Kitchen and Bar, six simulator bays featuring golf, soccer and football, a clubhouse and pro-shop. River City Pizza and the Prairie Falls Grocery Market will lease retail space in the new facility, which is set to open in June.

People won't have to be club members to enjoy the new amenities.

"We want people to be able to walk from their homes and eat dinner or grocery shop," Schock said. "This will be a new gathering spot in Post Falls."

She said she is already booking reservations for the event center, "which is exciting."

"This is going to add a whole new niche here," Schock said. "It’s going to be a lot of fun. There’s nothing like it in Post Falls. You can stay, you can play, you can eat and bring your family."

Improvements are always being made to the golf course, she said.

"We’re adding 45 new electric golf carts and a water feature," Schock said.

Prairie Falls Golf Club is owned by Rob and Emily Clark. The Clarks, who formerly owned the Sawmill Grille and Bell Tower Funeral Home in Post Falls, bought Prairie Falls Golf Course in August 2021. The course originally opened in 1998.

“We just want to take this golf course to the next level,” Rob Clark said in a September 2021 Press article. “We are bringing in more amenities for our neighbors, the people in Post Falls.”
