The Kroc Center is asking the public to help stock food bank shelves.

“Let’s show that we are a community who will care for everyone, all year long, by filling our food banks' shelves," said Jules Cosby, The Kroc Center’s community outreach coordinator.

Through Feb. 14, the Kroc Center wants to partner with the public.

"Families Feeding Families is your opportunity to help an individual, family, or veteran struggling with food insecurity and hunger," a press release said.

Nonperishable foods are needed, including dried fruit, fruit cups, protein bars, peanut butter crackers, instant oatmeal, trail mix, ready to eat soup and chili.

Both grocery items and financial gifts designated to Families Feeding Families can be given to the front desk staff of The Kroc Center or visitkroccda.org/donate to make a financial gift.
