Seattle Mariners utilityman Dylan Moore re-upped with Seattle, agreeing to a three-year deal worth $8.875 million.
In addition to signing four guards, the Seattle Storm re-signed center Ezi Magbegor.

SEATTLE – The Seattle Kraken returned to the ice after the NHL’s All-Star Break, while the Seattle Storm signed five players to contracts for the 2023 season. Check out this week’s professional sports recap for an update on the two squads, plus the Mariners resigning Dylan Moore.
Kraken
With the NHL’s All-Star break occupying much of the previous week, the Kraken returned to the ice on Tuesday night on the road against the New York Islanders.
The Islanders jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first period, later tacking on an additional two goals in the second. Seattle failed to score for just the second time this season, the first since a 1-0 loss to Minnesota on Nov. 11.
The Kraken will close out their east coast road trip with matchups against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, New York Rangers on Friday, Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday and Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday.
Seattle announced on Sunday that they had traded a fourth-round pick to the San Jose Sharks to acquire defenseman Jaycob Megna. The fifth-year veteran has appeared in 48 games with the Sharks this season, recording a goal and 11 assists.
Storm
Seattle has signed five players since WNBA free agency began last week, including re-signing center Ezi Magbegor. Four free agent guards signed with the Storm as well: former WNBA All-Star Kia Nurse, formerly of the Phoenix Mercury; two-time WNBA champion Sami Whitcomb, who played collegiate basketball at the University of Washington; 2021 second-round pick Arella Guirantes, formerly of the Los Angeles Sparks; and Kaila Charles, who is currently averaging 24.4 points per game with Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion in Israel.
Mariners
The Mariners signed utilityman Dylan Moore to a three-year, $8.875 million contract Mariners last week. Moore hit six home runs, batted in 24 runs and stole 21 bases with Seattle last season.

Moses Lake boys qualify eight, girls send 11 to Mat Classic
MOSES LAKE -- Nineteen total Mavericks qualified to wrestle at the upcoming Mat Classic, with the Moses Lake girls team qualifying 11 wrestlers and the boys team sending eight wrestlers to the Tacoma Dome. The Moses Lake boys took second at districts, scoring 214.5 points at the tournament. Sunnyside won the district tournament with 278.5 points.

MOSES LAKE – The Mavericks closed out the regular season with a trip to Sunnyside on Thursday night, coming out on top of a closely contested game with a 67-66 win over the Grizzlies. “They’ve been playing better, scoring more,” Head Coach Craig Groth said. “We’ve been doing a little bit better job on defense in certain situations and winning games leading up to that. Even games we haven’t won, we’ve been in really close games. Our confidence is really good right now, we felt great going into the game.”
