Police Calls: Loud construction and noisy neighbors

Jan. 19

10:31 a.m. The caller who exchanged explicit photos with someone he met online and then was threatened with blackmail, was advised to block the person and not send any money.

12:29 p.m. Someone reported losing a dog on Lion Mountain.

1:04 p.m. The caller said employees at a business on Highway 93 accused him of shoplifting and stated they were very rude to him and he wanted to talk to law enforcement about possible legal action.

1:35 p.m. Three males going through a truck in a vacant lot behind a business on Wisconsin Avenue were considered suspicious.

8:49 p.m. The construction going on at the location on Crestwood Drive was loud and the caller was advised to call back if it was still going on after 10 p.m.

11:15 p.m. The sounds of doors slamming and people fighting across the street on Waverly Place was disturbing and spurred the neighbor to call police.

2:20 a.m. A small girls bike was found.

Jan. 20

11:51 a.m. The driver of a Subaru Outback without a license plate had just purchased the vehicle. He was advised to go to work and park it when he gets home.

1:01 p.m. Someone had questions about parking.

1:52 p.m. Someone else had questions about being struck by a vehicle.

2:48 p.m. Reportedly, a white Suburban cut someone off on Spokane Avenue.

3:03 p.m. The caller said there were about eight teenagers littering and flipping tables over in a gazebo nearby. The teens were counseled.

3:05 p.m. There is a generator on Crestwood Driver making a lot of noise.

5:07 p.m. A snowboard and a pack of chicken were reported stolen from a location on Highway 93.

5:13 p.m. A young woman lost her black Lululemon wallet with a pink smiley face on it somewhere downtown.

5:35 p.m. A hit and run on First Street that damaged a side mirror will be handled civilly.

6:02 p.m. Two cars were speeding through the neighborhood on Minnesota Avenue. One looked like a sports car with flip up lights and now there is a piece of bumper on the sidewalk.

10:36 p.m. The dog that was barking in a backyard on Aspen Grove is no longer barking.

10:46 p.m. She called for help after locking her keys in the car along with all her husband’s medication.

12:35 a.m. Parties were separated after a possible fight on Second Street.

1:58 a.m. Two dogs were reportedly barking on Third Street but upon driving through the area, nothing was seen or heard.

Jan. 21

9:45 a.m. A reckless driver wearing a ball cap and driving a Silverado was swerving and passing over the yellow line on Highway 93.

11:51 a.m. This time, the caller who accidentally dialed 911 said her dog stepped on her phone.

2:48 a.m. Two men left a business on Highway 93 who were slurring their speech and wobbly.

Jan. 22

8:27 a.m. The right brake light was out on a gold Chevy and the driver was swerving into the opposite lane on Highway 93.

1:01 p.m. Someone called and was upset about a curse word on a sign a woman was carrying on Second Street.

4:37 p.m. There was a two vehicle fender bender in a parking lot on Highway 93. Parties exchanged information.

8:01 p.m. Someone playing with their phone accidentally dialed 911.
