Chef Earl James Reynolds of Stone Hill Kitchen + Bar in Bigfork has been nominated for a James Beard award— one of the most prestigious awards in the culinary industry. Reynolds is a semi-finalist for Best Chef in the Mountain Region.
A Facebook post from Stone Hill Kitchen + Bar said they are “humbled and very honored to be recognized for the hard work that goes into creating a notable and unique dining experience.” Reynolds and Stone Hill swept many categories in 2022’s Best of Bigfork awards, including Best Chef, Best Dessert, Best Steak and Best Fine Dining. Restaurant and chef award winners will be announced June 5.
The James Beard Foundation recognizes chefs, restaurateurs, authors and journalists in the United States. They also provide opportunities and support for those in the restaurant industry, such as their Women’s Leadership Programs and their financial assistance to businesses during the COVID-19 shutdowns.
Other chefs from Montana are also semi-finalists for Best Chef in the Mountain Region, including Andy Blanton of Cafe Kandahar in Whitefish.
