Top finish for Sandpoint Future 8th Grade Boys

The Sandpoint Future 8th Grade Boys took second place in the Flathead Hoopfest Tournament held last weekend, Feb. 18-19, in Kalispell, Mont.
The team went 5-1 on the weekend in the 12-team tournament with wins over the Columbia Falls Longshots, Kalispell Cobras, Stevensville Yellowjackets, Whitefish Bulldogs and Ronan Wolves before finishing runner-up to the Kalispell Wildcats in the championship game.
“The boys played well all weekend and had a great team building and basketball experience, along with playing six new teams on the season here in Montana," coach Steven Chamberlain said. "They worked hard on offense and defense all tournament and it showed with the positive results in some tough contests."
