Nonpartisan Doctors of Coeur d'Alene, or NDOC, announced its endorsement of the school levies that will be on the March 14 election in the Coeur d’Alene, Lakeland and Post Falls school districts.

NDOC is a growing group of about 70 local physicians, comprising Republicans, Democrats and independents who care deeply about the community, said a news release announcing the endorsements.

“We support strong educational opportunities for our children, which have the added benefits of both attracting and retaining high-quality health care workers to care for the people of this region, and also of maintaining a vibrant local economy,” the release said.

DART (Dedicated, Accountable, Responsible, Together) also announced its endorsement of the school levies.

“DART is a nonpartisan group of community residents dedicated to sound, thoughtful governance by committed, qualified leaders in all local public institutions,” said a news release. “A quality and consistent public education system available to all regardless of economic standing of any individual students is required to produce future leaders.”
