Thanks to kind family for shoveling driveway

Dear editor,

After the last snowfall of about six inches, it was a bitter cold day and I had finally decided to shovel my drive at about 1 in the afternoon.

I made one pass to the edge of the street and lo and behold, an SUV pulled up and stopped, and a family of four with their beautiful golden retriever climbed out and asked if I could use some help.

The teenage girls each had a shovel and the dad asked for mine and they went to work and got the deed done in about 10 minutes.

I was so happy and thankful, but I neglected to ask their names. So, I want them to know how much I appreciated their kindness and help and their Christmas spirit. It was one of the best Christmas gifts I received this year.
