Alex Tunistra came out on fire with two 3-pointers to start the game against Lakeland on Friday night and the Bulldogs would go on to win, 59-40.
“That, plus some really aggressive defense, set the tone for the game,” head coach Will Love said.
Strock scored nine points in the second and third quarter for the Bulldogs, who breezed past the Hawks in an Inland Empire League game at Hawk Court.
“The girls did a great job to take control and start the third quarter with a 10-0 run in the first two minutes,” Love said.
Kenna Simon scored 12 points for Lakeland (7-6, 0-5) and Strock finished with 21 points for Sandpoint (9-4, 2-3 IEL).
“It was awesome to get that first win to start out 4A league season,” Love said.
