Cole SanRoman lead Clark Fork to victory with eight points in the first quarter and 29 points overall as the Wampus Cats defeated Immaculate Conception Academy 71-49 at home Friday.
Clark Fork played consistently throughout the game and had a good turnovers (5) to steals (14) ratio.
“We tried to keep things upbeat over the holidays with a lot of practices for those who were around,” head coach Heath Beason said.
Liam Kramer proved hard to contain scoring 22 points for ICA.
The Wampus Cats kept the lead and were up 37-30 at halftime.
“I’m proud of the guys rebounding against a big team who has some big muscle, Beason said.
Both teams started the second half with a lower scoring third quarter but stepped it up again in the fourth.
Clark Fork hit 21 points in the final quarter and took the win over ICA 71-49.
“They’re getting their legs back and working on a quick turnaround for tomorrow,” Beason said.
