SPIRIT LAKE — One night after losing on a buzzer-beater to Lakeside, the host Tigers struggled at the defensive end in a loss to the Eagles in nonleague play.
“We just didn't have any defense tonight,” Timberlake coach Mike LaFountaine said. “We weren’t able to rebound, and we weren't able to get into our transition game.”
Ayson McLuskie and Wyatt MacArthur each scored 11 points for Timberlake (3-9).
Grady Walker scored a game-high 20 points for West Valley.
“We talked about coming off an emotional game,” LaFountaine said. “We have to find a way to make things happen.”
