PREP WRESTLING: Randles wins fourth Rollie Lane titlle

NAMPA — Coeur d’Alene High senior Alyssa Randles became the first four-time girls champion at the prestigious Rollie Lane Invitational, winning the 126-pound bracket on Saturday at the Ford Idaho Center.
Randles went 6-0 with five pins, capped by a 19-2 technical fall win over Jade Seymour of La Pine (Ore.) in the finals.
She was also named outstanding wrestler of the girls tournament.
“She was just dominant all weekend; great on her leg attacks and not making any mistakes,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. “Just a solid, solid wrestler; no one was close to her.”
Sophomore Rider Seguine (98 pounds), senior Jose Laguna (170) and senior Gentry Smith (195) of Post Falls also won titles, helping the Trojans to a second-place finish with 229.5 points.
Meridian won the team title with 248.5 points.
Also placing for Post Falls was senior Trevor Miller (second at 220), sophomore Seth Martin (third at 152), and senior John Rudebaugh (sixth at 160). Senior Abigale Piper was third at 145 in the girls tournament.
Brooklyn Anderson was fourth at 145 in the girls tournament, Dax Larsen sixth in the boys at 138 for Coeur d’Alene.
Sophomore Jaren Knopp was sixth at 106, Alyssa Foreman sixth at 126 in the girls tournament for Lakeland.
Sandpoint's Duke wins at
Pacific Northwest Classic
SPOKANE VALLEY — Sandpoint’s Andrew Duke pinned Tanner Crosby of Mt. Spokane in 5 minutes, 35 seconds to win the 106-pound title at the Pacific Northwest Classic at University High.
Christian Troumbley-Karkowski third at 145, Ashlei Hawkins fourth at 126 and Calvin Hinds sixth at 182 for Sandpoint, which finished 10th with 102 points.
Blaine Leonard was third at 138, Nathan Booth fifth at 152 and Garrett Leonard fifth at 170 for Lake City, which finished 17th with 63.5 points.
Flathead of Kalispell, Mont., won the tournament with 289 points.
