NIC WRESTLING: Cardinals go 2-1 in first day in Oklahoma

MIAMI, Okla. — North Idaho College went 2-1 on the first day of the NJCAA Coaches Duals tournament on Friday, advancing to face tournament host Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in the championship round today.

NIC beat Neosho 52-6 and Cowley 42-9, but fell to Iowa Central 25-15 to finish 2-1 in its pool. Iowa Central won the pool.

Brant Porter (141 pounds) and Bradley Whitwright (197) went unbeaten on the day for NIC.
