Ann Hurry, 73
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 3 years, 7 months AGO
Our beloved Ann Hurry of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Nov. 26 at the age of 73 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, after a brief and unexpected illness.
Ann was born in Dunedin, New Zealand, July 1949 to Lionel and Jean Gillions, she was the youngest of two.
Ann married in New Zealand in 1968 to Gary Booth and then moved to Coeur d'Alene, where they had one child. She fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and it became her forever home. She married and divorced one other time to Mike Hurry. That was the start of her love of travel but no matter where she went, Idaho was her home.
While living in Spirit Lake, Ann pursued a nursing degree at NIC and proudly served Kootenai Memorial Hospital as an RN for 37 years, where she was greatly loved by many.
Ann had a great love of the library, gardening, outdoor hiking, music, but most of all, traveling and spending time with good friends and family. I would like to give a special thanks to all Ann's friends, coworkers and all who knew her for being a part of her life's adventures and journey.
She was a wonderful mom, grandma and friend. If you were one of the lucky ones to have Annie in your life, you experienced her kind soul, she enhanced each of our lives and will be greatly missed!
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Jean Gillions, and leaves behind her daughter, Mary Ann, brother Roy and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and beloved friends. It is up to us to carry on the love and light that shone so brightly through her, as she said to me not too long ago have a great life, I did!
There will be a celebration of life in the spring.
