Brainard, a 5-foot-9 sophomore guard from Coeur d'Alene High, had 20 points for the Timberwolves (9-8, 3-2 Northwest Athletic Conference) in a 66-59 win over Treasure Valley on Wednesday in Ontario, Ore.

Lovett, a 5-foot-6 guard from Post Falls High, had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Warriors (15-2, 5-0 NWAC) in a 63-56 win at Wenatchee Valley on Wednesday.
• ACADEMIC AWARDS
Sara Muehlhausen, a Lake City High product, and Taryn Riley of Timberlake High, were named to the Cascade Conference All-Academic team, the conference announced. It is the third time Muehlhausen, a 6-3 senior post has been selected. It was the first for Riley, a 5-3 sophomore guard. To earn recognition as an All-CCC Academic honoree, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 and sophomore standing.
