Vikings wrestlers 12th at Choteau Classic

The Vikings wrestlers were in action at the Choteau Classic Friday and Saturday, where they compiled 94 points to take 12th place.
Dale Relyea (182) and Lyrik Fainter (103) had the top finishes for the Vikings, each taking third in their weight classes while Nathan Close (132) and Evan Tidwell (170) each earned sixth.
Relyea went 3-2 at the meet, Fainter was 3-3, Close went 5-3 and Tidwell was 2-3.
Picking up wins for the Vikings but not placing were Zack Flink (126) goin 2-2, Michael McCarty (138) going 4-2 and Wyatt Elwell (152) going 1-2.
The Vikings were also in action in a dual with Columbia Falls Jan. 10, where they were defeated by the Class A Wildcats, 72-0.
The Vikings were in action at Superior after press time Tuesday and will be at Thompson Falls Saturday.
