Karli Banks scored 15 points for the Bulldogs to help Sandpoint take the Inland Empire League game against Timberlake into overtime. However, the Tigers took control in the period to take the win, 57-48.

“We had some really good stretches but we turned the ball over too much,” head coach Will Love said.

Malia Miller scored 14 points for Timberlake while Aliya Strock added another 16 points for the Bulldogs.

“Credit to Timberlake, they made some big plays down the stretch to erase our 6-point lead in the final two minutes of regulation time,” Love said.

The game was tied 45-45 at the end of the fourth quarter. Strock hit a three-pointer to help out Sandpoint but the Tigers racked up 12 points to take the lead.

“We played the game without Daylee and Kelsey who were out with injuries,” Love said.

The Bulldogs play Moscow next Tuesday, Jan. 31, at home.
