Dominique 'Nick' Ray Pitman, 55

It is with great sadness that the family announces that June 18, 2023, Dominique Ray Pitman, age 55, of Athol, Idaho, passed away. Nick was born in Rangely, Colo., on Feb. 3, 1968, to William R. Pitman and Janet (Sizemore) Pitman.
Nick graduated from Lakeland High School and attended the University of Idaho, receiving a degree in microbiology. Nick married Lori Schaafsma in 2003 and they later divorced.
He worked for several stove/fireplace companies in Iowa and Washington before starting his own company, Radiant Designs, a research and development company.
Nick loved the outdoors, skiing, duck and deer/elk hunting, riding motorcycles, four-wheelers/side-by-side, cooking and teasing his friends.
He is survived by his parents, Will Pitman of Athol, Idaho, and Janet Hume of Hayden, Idaho; brother Scott Pitman (wife Jana) of Seattle and Leavenworth, Wash.; nephew Tate Pitman (father Scott Pitman and mother Tracy Pitman) of Seattle, Wash.; and cousins Renay Mobley (Blake) of Meeker, Colo., Lance Sizemore (Gretel) of Helena, Mont., and Laurie Jackson of Vernal, Utah.
Nick was always ready to lend a helping hand and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
