Anne Marie Burg, 93, a longtime resident of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away June 25, 2023. She was born in Darlington, Wis., on Dec. 27, 1929, to Louis and Anna Jean, who were immigrants from Switzerland. She was the seventh child of nine. Anne spent her early years as a waitress in Darlington, where she met and married Edward Burg Sr. on March 24, 1948. They were married for 56 years before he passed. They were blessed with five children, three boys and two girls.

Anne loved being a homemaker. She sewed, did needlework, cooked and loved baking. Once her children were grown and married she loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. During her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, collecting and learning about the history of stamps, coins, postcards and baseball cards from around the world. After moving to Post Falls, she was very active in volunteering at the senior center. She was a member of the Auxiliary at the American Legion, VFW and DAV, and helped whenever she could. She was a member of Post Falls Presbyterian Church and loved the Lord for her entire life. She was a kind, loving, generous member of life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings, her husband, Edward, and her sons, Edward Jr., Allen and James, along with three grandsons.

She is survived by her two daughters, JoAnne Harner-Moore (Mike) of Mesa, Ariz., and Janice Young (Robert) of Spirit Lake, Idaho; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many foster-grands and greats, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at her home in Post Falls, Idaho, on July 9, 2023, between 1 and 3 p.m.

Anne was an amazing daughter, wife, mother and friend to all. She will be missed, but we hold onto the promise of John 3:16 where the Lord calls us home.

Memories and condolences may be left on her online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
