Voyles, 39, was the top local male finisher in Ironman Coeur d’Alene on June 25, finishing in 9 hours, 41 minutes and 58 seconds. He finished the 2.4-mile swim in 1 hour, 46 seconds, the 112-mile bike in 5 hours, 10 minutes and 26 seconds and the 26.2 mile run in 3 hours, 16 minutes and 59 seconds. “This is probably the best I’ve felt after a race,” Voyles said. “To grind out 140 miles, it makes you feel like you did something.”
