Ellwood, a rising junior at Lakeland High, threw a no-hitter against Lewis-Clark on June 26, striking out five for the Mountaineers. In his next start, Ellwood — a lefty — allowed one hit in a 5-0 win over River City Premier in the Fourth of July Wood Bat Classic. “He’s just been really consistent for us in a lot of big games lately,” Northern Lakes coach Bryce Johnson said. “He’s been pitching and playing really well and has done a really good job of locating his pitches as of late.”
