Eight local artists will submit a few pieces each to the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center for a pop-up exhibit Saturday. Most of the artists will be available during a gallery reception 1-4 p.m. to field questions and meet the community. Refreshments will be available.

The exhibit will have something for everyone with mixed media from oil, acrylic, colored pencil and photography. Attendees will also get to share in the creativity when they paint rocks in the JACC, supplies and rocks provided.

“We’re always trying to do things that support local artists,” JACC Director Darla Dreyer said.

The exhibit will be in the downstairs gallery, and upstairs will be featured watercolor paintings by Clinton Barnes, on display and for sale through the month.

The pop-up exhibit will be on display until Aug. 18, during gallery hours from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, or 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
