Misner, a rising junior at Post Falls High, wins Hayden Triathlon

Kaylynn Misner, 16, a rising junior at Post Falls High, was the top female finisher out of 109 competitors in the 10th annual Hayden Triathlon on Saturday, finishing in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 30.4 seconds.
The event consisted of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike leg and a 13.1-mile run.
Nicolle Baune of Coeur d'Alene was second in 1:17:18.9, and Alahna Lien of Post Falls was third in 1:17:34.0.
Jason Merrifield, 37, of Liberty Lake, was the top male finisher out of 124 male competitors 1 hour, 5 minutes and 12.12 seconds. Daniel Amann of Spokane was second in 1:05:34.9, and Shannon Horn of Henderson, Nev., was third in 1:06:00.9.
The relay team of ‘You’re Aren’t the Boss of Me!!’ was the top finisher out of 12 teams in 1 hour, 17 minutes and 51.8 seconds.
