COEUR d'ALENE — Pamela Benton is back with a debut of her original music. She and her band will perform at Riverstone Summer Concerts from 6 to 8 p.m. July 27.

The singer/songwriter has assembled an all-star band featuring musicians of the Northwest. Experience Benton's newly released originals, familiar favorites and covers with a full-band sound.

Classically trained on the violin, Benton's music is best described as “Norah Jones meets Sting.”

Accompanying Benton's vocals, electric violin and electric guitar are Matthew O'Leary on keys, Taylor Belote on drums, Tyler Coulston on guitar and Caylee Olson playing bass. Benton sings and plays live on both the electric violin and lead guitar. Her first CD, "Living by the Lake," is all-original, all-instrumental that has “smooth and easy” music. Her second CD, "Give Me Wings," features more indie folk rock and smooth jazz songs that showcase Pamela’s sensual, smoky vocals.

Benton, also a producer, recording engineer and multi-talented instrumentalist, calls the Pacific Northwest home. She is classically trained on the violin and piano and has performed throughout the U.S., England and Ireland. When not performing, she helps others violin, mandolin, ukulele and guitar.

The Riverstone venue is located at 1805 Tilford Lane.
