NCW Tech Alliance to host golf tournament

EAST WENATCHEE — NCW Tech Alliance is hosting its Summer Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Tournament next week at the Highlander Golf Course in East Wenatchee, a dual event with a golf tournament and a dinner party Aug. 3.
Money raised from the event goes toward STEM scholarships that are awarded during the Annual Innovator Awards Luncheon this fall.
Registration for the golf tournament costs $150 for an individual and $550 for a team. Prizes for the top three teams at the tournament are available; first place wins a two-hour session at the Highlander’s Full Swing Simulator, four sleeves of Titleist ProV1 golf balls, a $100 gift card to Atlas Fare and a Dewar’s Scotch sampler; second place receives a Titleist hat, a bottle of Patron Silver Tequila and a Bacardi Yeti 20-ounce mug; third place receives bottles of wine from Jones of Washington Winery.
Prizes are also available for the winners of the longest drive and closest to the pin skill contests.
For non-golfers, there will be a dinner party beginning at 5 p.m. at the Highlander Golf Course. A silent auction will be hosted also raising money for STEM scholarships.

Eagles fall to Sacramento State, focus on Senior Day finale
CHENEY – Eastern fell in straight sets to Sacramento State on Wednesday night, according to a statement from EWU athletics. The Eagles were led by Kalista Lukovich and Alyssa Radke with seven kills apiece, while Elle Bruegman anchored the defense with 14 digs. Eastern also continued to showcase one of its season-long strengths at the net, out-blocking the Hornets 9–3 with seven solo blocks.
Cai earns First GNAC Player of the Week honor of 25-26
