April 27

Blanca S. Torres and Alfonzo Aaron Guerra, Othello, sons Raul, 7 pounds 9 ounces, and Mateo Luis Guerra, 6 pounds 2 ounces.

May 19

Elizabeth Tapia-Vasquez and Jonathan Yair Roa De la Cruz, Othello, son Jonathan Jiraiya Roa Tapia, 6 pounds.

May 20

Klia Curtis and Tyler Joshua Naranjo Wisdom, Othello, son Hezekiah Thayden Roger Wisdom, 7 pounds 13 ounces.

May 23

Victoria Candelana Vargas and Josue Izuael Alcala Gutierrez, Connell, daughter Aixa Divina Alcala Vargas, 8 pounds.

Police responded to a Friday morning report of a student outside Coeur d’Alene High School with what appeared to be a firearm, which turned out to be a water gun.

Hayden woman sentenced for tax evasion

A Hayden woman who pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $162,000 from her former employer, some of which she repaid, received a jail sentence, according to the Idaho State Tax Commission.
