The freshman shot a 2-under-par 140 over 36 holes for a three-shot victory at the Northwest Athletic Conference golf championship last month at the Apple Tree Golf Club in Yakima, Wash., leading the Cardinal men to their fifth straight conference title. It was his third tourney title of the spring season. “He’s just consistent, consistent ball flight, consistent on how he approaches the game, just a good, solid player,” NIC men’s and women’s golf coach Russell Grove said. “He’s not a big guy, doesn’t overpower golf courses, but he can get it up and down.”
