She was a member of the Post Falls Community Presbyterian Church and was very involved, plus various clubs and organizations in the community. After retirement, they moved to Rathdrum and were part of the Rathdrum Bible Church and Senior Center. Upon Otto's retirement, they enjoyed many RV trips, especially to Yuma, Ariz. After a house fire in Rathdrum Ruth moved into Bestland Senior Living in Cd'A. When she was no longer independent Ruth then moved to The Lodge in Post Falls and recently to North Star Retirement Community in Coeur d'Alene.
