Quincy FFA announces officers

QUINCY – The Quincy Future Farmers of America announced its 2023-24 officers on May 23. The officer team was installed during the coinciding Parent-Member Banquet.

The President is Kallie Kooistra, an incoming senior who shows goats and lambs and competes on the Horse, Range, Meats and Parliamentary Procedure team. The Vice-President is Lily Thompson she raises lambs for fair and competes on Range, Apple, Horse, Agronomy, Livestock, Meats, and Parliamentary Procedure Teams. Adrian Baughman is the Chapter Secretary he has a placement SAE project and competes on the Parliamentary Procedure team. Oswaldo Hernandez is the Treasurer he has a placement SAE project and raises market hogs. He competes on the Potato and Livestock teams. Harlie Torgeson is the Chapter Reporter. Harlie raises goats and hogs and competes on the Potato and Livestock Teams. Clarissa Perez is the Chapter Sentinel. Clarissa raises hogs and competes on the Agriculture Communications and Parliamentary Procedure team.

A Hayden woman who pleaded guilty to embezzling more than $162,000 from her former employer, some of which she repaid, received a jail sentence, according to the Idaho State Tax Commission.
