DuCoeur, Stockton named to all-state 5A first team in baseball

Seniors Joe DuCoeur of Lake City and Bryce Stockton of Coeur d’Alene were named to the 5A first team as the all-Idaho baseball teams were announced by The Idaho Statesman newspaper of Boise.
DuCoeur, a Chaminade commit, hit .391 and drove in 24 runs for the Timberwolves.
Stockton, a Tacoma Community College commit, was 4-1 with a 1.04 ERA, and 53 strikeouts in 40.1 innings for the Vikings.
Lewiston senior outfielder Chris Ricard also was named to the first team.
Lake City senior outfielder Eric Bumbaugh and Timberwolf junior infielder Cooper Smith were both named to the 5A second team.
In 2A, Scott Tondevold of Orofino was named Coach of the Year, and Orofino juniors Drew Hanna (pitcher) and Silas Naranjo (catcher) were named to the first team. Second-team selections in 2A were Grangeville junior pitcher Sam Lindsley, Orofino junior infielder Bodey Howell, Orofino sophomore outfielder Aiden Olive and Orofino senior outfielder Nick Drobish.
Coaches statewide vote on the all-Idaho teams. The Statesman publishes the results.
