LEGION BASEBALL: Lums' Erickson hurls shutout at Bozeman tourney opener

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Cooper Erickson pitched a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts and no walks as the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen beat the Twin Falls Cowboys 9-0 in their first game at the Heroes Park Invitational on Friday.
Joe DuCoeur went 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored for Coeur d’Alene (9-6).
Isaac Ziegler was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, including a run-scoring triple in a six-run fourth inning for the Lums. Ziegler also singled in a run in the third to make it 3-0.
Coeur d’Alene plays the Nampa Chiefs today at 7 a.m. PDT.
