Cd'A man shines at Special Olympics

Jake Kerr of Coeur d'Alene earned a bronze medal in golf in the Special Olympics World Games recently held in Berlin.
Kerr and unified partner Devin Riley "showcased exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship, earning a well-deserved third place," a press release said.
"We are immensely proud of Devin and Jake for their outstanding performance at the 2023 World Games," said Kristi Kraft, chief Special Olympics Idaho executive officer. "Their accomplishments highlight the incredible talent within our organization, demonstrating that determination and hard work can lead to remarkable achievements."
Special Olympics World Games are dedicated to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
"Riley and Kerr's impressive performance is a testament to their unwavering dedication and the quality of their training, highlighting their ability to excel in an international arena," the release said.
Kerr, a longtime athlete of Special Olympics Idaho, exemplified dedication and sportsmanship throughout the competition, the release said.
"They are shining examples of the potential within the Special Olympics community," Kraft said.
