LEGION BASEBALL: Lums drop two in Bozeman, conclude tourney today

BOZEMAN, Mont. — After two wins in two days to begin the tournament, the Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen dropped a pair of games Saturday to conclude round-robin play at the Heroes Park Invitational.

Bryce Hall had two hits and two RBIs for the Lums in an 11-5 loss to the Helena Senators in the final game of round-robin play to finish 2-2.

Coeur d’Alene lost 6-1 in Saturday’s opener to the Pocatello Runnin’ Rebels.

Against Helena, Travis Usdrowski had three hits and an RBI and Caden Robinett added an RBI for Coeur d’Alene (10-8).

Walker Bennett had a three-run double in the sixth inning for Helena, and finished the game with five RBIs.

Earlier, Eric Bumbaugh doubled to score Ty Shepard in the sixth inning for the Lums, who fell to the Pocatello Runnin’ Rebels 6-1.

Bumbaugh and Shepard’s hits in the sixth were the only hits in the game for Lums.

McCadden Evans, who has signed to play at College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls, pitched a two-hit complete game for Pocatello (23-6).

Coeur d’Alene concludes tourney play today, playing the Jackson Giants of Jackson Hole, Wyo., at 9:30 a.m. PDT for fourth and fifth place.
