LEGION BASEBALL: Lums win, finish fourth at Bozeman tourney

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Kyle Bridge went 3 for 3 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored as the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen beat the Jackson Giants from Jackson Hole, Wyo., 10-2 in the fourth/fifth-place game at the Heroes Park Invitational on Sunday.
Eric Bumbaugh was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored for Coeur d’Alene (11-8), which won 3 of 5 games in the seven-team tourney.
Bridge hit an RBI single, and Cooper Erickson had a two-run double in a four-run first inning for the Lums. Joe DuCoeur and Bumbaugh had RBI singles in a five-run second.
AJ Currie struck out four and walked none in four innings for Coeur d’Alene. The two runs he allowed were unearned.
Coeur d’Alene plays host to the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Thorco Field. The Lums then will host a pod in the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene Wood Bat Classic, which begins Friday.
