The classic quintet Cd’A Brass X Five will perform a concert from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls.

Members including former North Idaho College director of bands and conductor Terry Jones, Coeur d’Alene native and French horn player Hunter Strobel, trumpeter Pete Obligato, tubist George Washington and trombonist Jessica McKenzie will fill the arts center with sounds ranging through classical, folk, ragtime, swing, contemporary and patriotic.

The band members have backgrounds in jazz, teaching music, orchestras, European tours, super bowl and olympic performances and Northwest tubafests.

They bring a breadth of styles and ranges to the quintet, each with their own unique sound.

The show promises to be a perfect kick off to the summer, director Darla Dryer from the Jacklin Arts Center said.

Tickets to the quintet start at $5 for children, and $15 for adults, available at thejacklincenter.org
