Things are starting to turn green at the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club with St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching.

Coeur d’Irish is back.

“After a two year pandemic pause, the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club is excited to bring back a very popular local fundraiser,” said a news release announcing the event. “This year on St. Patrick’s Day, you can visit the land of leprechauns and shamrocks without traveling to Ireland.”

Cd'A Rotary’s Coeur d’Irish party is 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 17 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. Partygoers will enjoy plenty of food, Irish bagpipes and dancers, and music and dancing. Tickets are $50 per person.

“So, who doesn’t enjoy an evening of fun while supporting a great cause?” said Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club President Candace Godwin. “It’s an incredible fundraiser and more than gaiety and merriment. The treasure generated by this event funds so many causes. Proceeds support grants for local youth and civic organizations, scholarships to local students and help for families and individuals in need.”

Event organizer Miranda Hamilton said Coeur d’Irish is a true community event.

“Everyone’s Irish that night. It’s a wonderful opportunity for friends and supporters to toast a life filled with good fortune and good company while supporting worthy causes,” Hamilton said. “We’re offering a special chance to win an Ireland Adventure, too.”

Just 500 tickets for $50 each will be sold for a six-night getaway for two to Dublin to include the Ennis and Killarney, historic overnight stay, rental car, Guinness Storehouse, VIP Tickets, Gap of Dunloe and the Inis Oirr and Cliffs of Moher Excursion. Winner need not be present.
