Mavs place seventh at ML Girls Golf Invite

MOSES LAKE – Golf season began for girls teams from Moses Lake, Othello, Warden and more at the Moses Lake Girls Golf Invitational on Monday, hosted at the Moses Lake Golf and Country Club.

Eastmont came out on top with a team score of 178, followed by Mead and Walla Walla’s first team to round out the top three. The Mavericks placed seventh with a score of 218, Othello placed eighth with a score of 220 and Warden was ninth with a score of 226.

Moses Lake’s Team 1 – composed of Addi Nighswonger and Adyson Gariano, who shot 105 and 154, respectively – had a best ball score of 105. The Mavericks’ Team 2 of Rhylee Humphrey and Lilli Roylance shot 121 and 125, respectively, and had a best ball score of 113.

Othello’s Team 1 of Mariah Murdock and Sami Shade shot 105 and 126, respectively, for a best ball score of 100. Rachel Bates (132) and Jeslan Valdez (133) had a best ball score of 120 for Othello’s Team 2.

Warden’s Lauren Madsen (116) and Annaliesse Martinez (141) combined for a best ball score of 112 for the Cougars’ Team 1, and Reagan Golladay (124) and Naomi Kinzle (144) had a best ball score of 114 for Warden’s Team 2.
